One type of innovative new media that I've thought of involves interactive TV channels. The way this would be set up is, you would have a TV with a built in camera (available today) or even an external webcam connected. Then, there would be an array of interactive channels to choose from based on your interest. For example, if you wanted to learn how to cook, there would be a cooking channel where you could communicate with the person giving the lesson while you follow along. Or maybe if you wanted to exercise/do yoga with a partner, it could be done in the comfort of your home, interactively in front of your TV. You would receive guidance and tips for better form and exercises. This could go on to many different areas, such as simple socializing, or even therapist/advice sessions. The possibilities seem endless! There could be an option where you choose whether you want to be a part of a large group, or simply have one on one interaction. One thing to take into consideration would be the demand for users on the other end; maybe appointments are something that could settle this, but it would definitely be a cool concept.
